During the 2022/2023 academic year, the University of Ghana’s School of Engineering Sciences achieved significant milestones under the Dean’s leadership. The Dean’s proactive engagement with departments and students aligned with the university’s strategic goals, leading to impactful projects and awards, such as the OR Thambo Chair Initiative and the Best Presentation at ICAST 2022. Departments like Agricultural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Food Process Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering made remarkable progress in research, teaching, and global partnerships.
The School formed ten committees to further the Dean’s vision, launched strategic initiatives like the Alumni Desk, and celebrated its 20th Anniversary with various events and collaborations with prestigious institutions and industry partners. The Dean’s active participation in events and the School’s receipt of donations and pledges underscored a year of dynamic leadership and growth. The School is set on becoming a leader in engineering education, emphasizing innovation and academic excellence.
